As Leonardo was reaching 5 months, I knew it was time to start looking for a highchair, there is so much available and I had been putting off doing the research for one as I’m generally really busy what feels like all the time, and I realised today that whilst i’m at home, i’m literally always doing something from being mum and looking after baby L, but when he’s having a nap, i’ll either be working or doing house stuff and it’s only when i’m actually out of the house that i’m relaxing, which is something I need to work on!

I did quite a lot of research into highchairs, and fortunately my grandparents wanted to buy this for us, so we had a budget of £100 but you really don’t need to spend this much. My mum has actually just brought one for when baby L spends time at her house, and she brought hers from Tesco, it arrived today. I’ll link it below, honestly, it’s no where near as padded and comfortable as the one we went for in the end, but it seems quite sturdy and we’re having Easter Lunch at my parents on Sunday so i’ll put a few photos on my Instagram Stories and let you all know how Leo gets on in it then.

My top 5 highchairs:

  1. Cosatto Noodle Supa Highchair – buy it here

I really wanted this in the car print, they have quite a variety of prints, from flamingos to eggs to poppies, I really wanted the car print but I couldn’t find it in stock anywhere, and I needed it quite quickly. I found it cheapest on Amazon. It arrived on Wednesday and I really like it, I wasn’t so sure when ordering it, it was so simple to put together, it feels really sturdy, baby L has gone from sitting in the babybjorn bouncer to sitting up really nicely in this, he can hold his head well but he can’t quite sit up that well yet, this really helps him sit up and he absolutely loves it, he bangs his little hands on the tray as if to say come on mum hurry up with my food! He loves the colourful print, and the padding makes it really comfortable for him.

2. Joie Baby Mimzy Snacker – buy it here

This is a really lovely highchair, my decor is grey and white mostly throughout my house so, originally I wanted this one, it had good reviews but it had a 3 week waiting list so I had to cancel the order.

3. My Babiie Billie Fraires – buy it here

This was another one of my favourites, again I loved the colouring, it’s a bit pricey but the seat looks really comfortable and it had good reviews. I’ve also seen baby Paul from the mummy diaries using this and thought it looked really cute.

4. Bloom Fresco Chrome Coconut White High Chair – buy it here

I loved how unusual and quirky this looked as a high chair, it’s on my list mainly because of that as it’s super pricey! At £399.99! I would love to know if anyone has this and if so, what they love about it apart from the quirky design. The only thing that puts me off is that you can’t fold it away, I think a huge kitchen is needed for this one! I love the straps, they look like they are wipe clean and to me, this looks like a massive plus, that’s the only thing I don’t like about the Cosatto one, already baby L has dropped avocado on the straps and it just gets rubbed into the fabric.

5. Red Kite Feed Me Compact Highchair – buy it here

This is the one my mum has brought, it’s no where near as padded as my cosatto highchair, it still looks comfortable and it’s a great compact one. My mum wanted one that she could put away when Leonardo’s not using it and this folds away nicely.

Hope this list helps, I initially wanted the babybjorn highchair as I absolutely love the bouncer from them but the highchair didn’t have any straps which I thought was a massive con for us, especially as baby L still can’t sit up properly on his own, it’s also pricey! I’m really happy with the Cosatto one so far, apart from the fact theres no cover on the straps and their not wipe clean. The tray has a separate bit that pops off so that we can put it in the dishwasher too. I’ve just been wiping it clean thought to be honest, I haven’t put it in the dishwasher yet as it’s quite a big tray and just easier to wipe clean with Dettol!
