5 Months & Taking the Hassle Out of Our Bedtime Routine

This post is sponsered and the Arbonne samples in this post were gifted to me. As always all opinions are my own. See my Terms & Disclaimer here

We hit the milestone of 5 months yesterday with baby Leonardo and we also started to introduce solids, so far it’s gone really well. Baby L was showing all of the signs and I only introduced solids because I thought it felt right for him. The guideline for introducing solids is 6 months, however in our particular case, baby L is a big baby, at 5 months old he has more than doubled his birth weight, he started to feed every 2 hours and this is when I started to notice how hungry he was. I will do another seperate post on our journey into weaning but for now, if this is something you’re about to do, I can’t recommend enough ‘Ella’s Kitchen’ – The purple one – Buy it here

I was kindly sent some Arbonne samples by a friend and Arbonne consultant a few weeks ago to try, she knew that I was suffering with oily and combination skin since pregnancy so all of the samples were based around this and to help.

Here are a few of my favourites;

First I tried the day lotion: Buy it here

What I really liked about this was that it also has an SPF20 in, it’s light and absorbs easily into the skin which is good for me as I have oily skin and anything that doesn’t instantly dry makes my skin feel worse. I also love the smell, it smells quite summery which is really refreshing. I have quite red, patchy skin, I didnt notice it clearing up my redness, but I have only been using this product for a few weeks so I can’t expect miracles, but if you’re after a light everyday moisturiser.

The Genius Nightly Resurfacing Pads: Buy it here

I used this after cleansing at night, it made my skin feel really silky smooth and clean, I really liked this and would continue using it.

The Corrective Eye Cream: Buy it here

I haven’t had much luck with eye creams since post pregnancy, I haven’t been noticing a difference in any products i’ve been using, then I tried the Arbonne Eye Cream and really liked how rich it was, I can’t say i’ve noticed a huge difference in the reduction of my eye bags, but I realise I can’t expect miracles when i’m also probably not drinking enough water, I will continue with this eye cream as I like the texture and you only need the tiniest bit as it goes really far.

Exfoliating New Cell Scrub: Buy it here

Having quite sensitive skin from acne, I find exfoliating scrubs quite harsh on my skin, leaving it quite red, this exfoliate doesn’t leave my skin reeling dry or tight which I like, I think this product can be used on all skin types so it’s quite an all rounder. I would use this product, but I wouldn’t personally use it everyday but about 2-3 times a week as my skins so sensitive.

Deep Cleansing Mask: Buy it here

If you’re like me and have oily skin, this mask is perfect. It left my skin feeling super smooth and fresh, I used this twice a week as a real treat.

Overall, I really enjoyed trying these products from Arbonne, they left my skin feeling super clean and fresh and not oily at all. Their products to me, feel quite light and kind to oily skin which is great.

Hope that helps anyone thinking of trying this brand, the cleansing mask is a real treat if you’re looking for something to help you relax on a Friday night with a glass of wine and a bath, if you’re a mummy like me, this will be a huge treat! As staying in, really is the new going out!

Happy Easter Weekend!
